Legendary comedian Bill Cosby silently refused to answer questions about revived allegations of sexual assault against him during a radio interview Saturday.
The 77-year-old comedian and his wife Camille were appearing on National Public Radio's "Weekend Edition Saturday" to discuss their recent loan of 62 pieces from their collection of African Art to the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington. But at the end of the interview, host Scott Simon turned to the allegations against Cosby.
"This question gives me no pleasure, Mr. Cosby," Simon said, according to a transcript of the show, "but there have been serious allegations raised about you in recent days."
After a period of silence, Simon continued, "You're shaking your head no. I'm in the news business. I have to ask the question. Do you have any response

LOS ANGELES – Bill Cosby will not dignify "decade-old, discredited" claims of sexual abuse with a response, his attorney said Sunday, the first comment from the famed comedian on an increasing uproar over allegations that he assaulted several women in the past.
In a statement released to The Associated Press and posted online, lawyer John P. Schmitt said the fact that the allegations are being repeated "does not make them true."
"He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work," Schmitt said.
The renewed attention to a dark chapter for Cosby began last month when a comedian, Hannibal Buress, assailed him during a stand-up performance in Philadelphia, Cosby's hometown, calling him a "rapist." His remarks were captured on video and posted online, gai

Jim Carrey is back on top reports Variety.
The comedian has struggled at the box office in recent years, but by revisiting one of his most beloved comedies two decades after it hit screens, Carrey has scored his biggest hits in years with “Dumb and Dumber To.” The cinematic adventures of a pair of dim bulbs shone brightly at the box office this weekend, picking up an estimated $38 million across 3,154 locations.
Despite the strong showing, “Dumb and Dumber To” had to fight for first place with last weekend’s champ, “Big Hero 6.” The Disney animated film crossed the $100 million mark. It fell 36% from its opening, picking up $36 million across 3,773 screen

NEW YORK – Bill Cosby's upcoming appearance on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" has been canceled amid a growing uproar over allegations that he sexually assaulted several women in past decades.
Cosby representative David Brokaw confirmed Friday night that Cosby would not appear as previously scheduled next Wednesday. He did not say why. A "Late Show" representative could not be reached for comment.
Another canceled booking, on "The Queen Latifah Show" on Oct. 30, was characterized by that show as a postponement granted at Cosby's request.
Barbara Bowman, one of Cosby's accusers, has recently leveled allegations of sexual assault by the comic in interviews and in a Washington Post online column, writing that "Cosby won my trust as a 17-year-old aspiring actress in 1985, brainwashed m

The Parents Television Council is steaming mad at “Scandal” for a super hot scene that was featured in the hit show’s opening minutes. The problem? The scene came on the tube right after the kid-favorite flick “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” wrapped on the same channel.
“In less than 26 seconds we were taken from the ‘Peanuts’ pumpkin patch to a steamy ‘Scandal’ sex scene... Unless parents had the remote control in their hand, thumb on the button and aimed directly at the TV screen, they didn’t have a chance. Such a transition is grossly irresponsible by the network and entirely unfair for parents. ABC owes families an apology,” Parents Television Council (PTC) President Tim Winter fumed in a statement sent to FOX411.
The PTC called on ABC to apologize for the quick change in programing.
