Enugu state Governor, Sullivan Chime has dared President Goodluck Jonathan by declaring his intention to contest for the Enugu West Senatorial District seat. 

Chime made his declaration at the Enugu West Senatorial District Zonal meeting of the PDP, which held at Awgu Local Government Council headquarters at the weekend. 

According to 247UReports, The Governor told the gathering, which comprised the 5 Council Chairmen under the senatorial district and some party stakeholders loyal to him, that President Jonathan had not been firm over his discussions with him and that he was free to present himself to Enugu people since Enugu belonged to Enugu people. 

About a week ago, President Jonathan had mediated a peace meeting between Chime and and Senator Ike Ekweremadu . At the meeting, Chime has allegedly been asked to drop his senatorial ambition.
