Ahead of the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP Presidential Campaign Team to Oyo State on Monday, security has been beefed up in Ibadan, the state capital.
A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent, who went around the city, reports that a combined team of security agencies was observed manning strategic places expected to be visited by the president.
Stern-looking security men were also sighted on roads leading to the Ibadan Airport where the president and his campaign team would be received on arrival.
Officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) also manned major roads to ensure free flow of traffic.
At the Monatan palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana, some security men, including military personnel, were sighted keeping vigil.
